I don't know how long this site has been up, I think it's recent, it features some great fonts by Pablo Medina, and even some excellent Print work. But most importantly: Vitrina, one of my all time favorite fonts.
I think Cubanica has been around for about a year now. Many of Medina’s fonts are available through Plazm*. Like Shamal, he’s gone independant, and now charges a premium for the same stuff (they may include larger character sets). I think they both did the right thing - their work is top quality - but I wonder how sales are faring under a new, smaller marketing tent.

Such a coincidence. Checking out the Cubanica site, I noticed a logo that featured a typeface designed by us (Experimental Jetset).
Or at least it looked a lot like it.
Go to the Cubanica site, check the "graphics" section and search for the Purple Leopard logo.
And there it is.
By the way, the typeface is free from our website, www.experimentaljetset.nl.
Go to the old version of our website, and check out the download section. Mac only.
It's not a perfect typeface, as we're not really typedesigners. We had to design a logo, and made up the other letters just for fun.
We designed it quite a few years ago for French magazine Purple. That's why the typeface is called Purple.
I had completely forgotten about plazm. I will have to say their website was a bit dissapointing, even though the content is excellent (fonts, portfolio, etc) but I expected more form that group. Anyway, it's nice to see they are still going at it. And strongly.
