It's gorgeous, isn't it? The Jali Thuluth style is especially wonderful. In terms of contemporary work, Mamoun Sakkal, a calligrapher and professor at the University of Washington, does really great work too.

BTW, it seems twisted, but to me the less legible Arabic decoration is, the more impressive it is. To know that it says something (probably important too), but you can't decipher it, even though you have the potential to read it (assuming you read Arabic)... now that's special.
