Watch Fonts Grow at Typophile If you don’t frequent the Typophile Critique Forums , you should know that unexpected gems from amateur type designers show up there all the time, like Scanline , Seriatim Gestalt , Essential , Positronic Effigy , and this sketch . The critique of Fonthausen’s TyPress is a nice example of how – under ideal conditions – the forum can help a design mature.

A great place for stealing ideas as well.

Hmm. Close, but not quite. I'm almost certain that PsyOps spends more than 2 months on each release. I think what you've found is a remarkable trend rather than a case of plageurism.

> plageurism
Is that what French designers do?
Or designers who live on the beach?

i saw reform in its early stages, last november. the designer is a friend of mine. the similarities to this thing on typophile are coincidental.
there are so many type designers now, doing so much work, that the same ground sometimes gets covered more than once.

Aside: I'm Lazy! Is it too much to ask that everybody use anchor tags on their URLs?

We're lazy too, Dave, so yes, it is. :-)

Smartypant Hrant - Plageurism is what french designers do while stalking women on the beach.

I m the designer of the font at the typophile forum called (for now) Especial.
I saw Reforma from PsyOps and I loved it. I m sure its a trend like another member here said.
Anyway, at this moment Especial is having some changes and will be posted at the forum soon.
Gracias to see my font similar to a good one!
