Letterpress Classes at the Skeptical Press

Coriander Reisbord, a great artist, talented typesetter and printer, and an all around great person, is offering a series of typesetting & printing classes using the Vandercook proof press at her studio in El Cerrito.

From the circular:

We will work with both image & text, working both individually & in collaboration. You will set, proof, print and distribute type; you will print in velvety black as well as luscious color. You will get lots of hands-on press time, in a relaxed setting, on an excellent Vandercook SP20.
Also, you will meet the Skeptical Press cat.
Each class meets four times, each time from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are three sessions planned:
May: two weekends: Sat/Sun 17/18 & 24/25
July: four Saturdays, 5, 12, 18 & 26
September: four Saturdays, 6, 13, 20 & 27
The cost per session of four classes is 250 dollars; this includes a 25 dollar fee for your materials and supplies. Reserve a place with a 50 dollar deposit; pay off the remainder within a month of the class. I'll mail our all the information you'll need (maps, directions, etc.) at that time.

Dear Ms. Reisbord,

Some years ago you posted a comment about a miniature book by Samuel K. Bangs entitled "Old St. Nicholas" 1882 (reprint Prickly Pair Editions 1994). I would like a copy of the original if possible and I am seeking more information about S. K. Bangs himself. I would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide.
