...yeah, arrived at the poor house.

Rich Roat | Mar 10, 2004 10:36 AM

Awww, Rich. I'll do my part to getcha outta that house. Buying a copy tonight - and I'm goin' for the Kung Fu Chalet Book Grip version.

The House rock never stops.

Cheers,

Dylan

Well, as they say, you've got to spend it to make it.
Don't miss Chalet Book too.

Eric Olson | Mar 10, 2004 12:43 PM

Ah, the joys of being a student: You want what you can't have (ie: This house book, which is, to use the vernacular, "the heat"), and by the time you can have it, its gonna be sold out.

I must say, it is nice to have a coffee table book that is not only painfully handsome but also shows process. It's so rare today, and the fact that it is should be depressing to all of us.

Ray.

Well yeah - get your university to buy it! I make purchase requests to UCLA once in a while - in fact I'll be doing one for Middendorp's new book.

Rich, how long did it take to put the HOUSE book together? The spread snapshots look nice!

What ever happened to the House magazine? I subscribed, I think.

John B. | Mar 10, 2004 06:24 PM

I subscribed too, once, and was disappointed. You only get one or two issues, and it wasn't very interesting. Their fliers are better. I hope this book sucks less than the magazine. What a waste of money THAT was.

A Different John B. | Mar 24, 2004 10:34 AM

Yeah, that free stuff really sucks the life outta my budget, too.

"Whatever happened to House magazine?"

Rich Roat is speaking to the local AIGA chapter here in Phoenix tonight. My brother, who is also a House magazine "subscriber," plans to ask him the very same question.

Marc Oxborrow | Mar 25, 2004 08:19 AM

Just got my copy of the House book. Incredible. Amazing. Awesome. More than anything, inspiring. And the production on this monster will blow you away. Buy one. And tell 'em Dylan sent ya so I can score shameless amounts of free House swag.

:)

House rocks. I wish my fellow John B.s would spell out their last names so I don't get confused with them. Really, it's good to have opinions, now sign your names to them already.

John Butler | Apr 27, 2004 04:28 AM

…anyone wish to sell House Industries Magazine #1? I would dearly love a copy... will pay top dollar!

M. Greig | Apr 28, 2004 07:40 AM

Sorry. Just trying to keep it on the down low.
