TypeCon2004 -- SupersizedTypeCon used to be a little conference, a casual gathering of typography geeks, sprinkled with some interesting workshops and speakers. Inexpensive and entertaining. Now that the full menu of TypeCon2004 has been announced, I think that description still applies -- everything but the "little" part. The list of offerings and speaker names is long and impressive. And the workshops haven't even been announced yet (I've had a peek at the list and it's enough to salivate people from all walks of typography). SOTA's promise to keep TypeCon affordable remains. The registration fees are drastically lower than other design conferences and the variety of programming this year promises its very likely no attendee will feel their fee has gone to waste. Online registration will be up soon. In the meantime, you can reserve your room at the conference hotel (always recommended to soak in the full flavor of the show and avoid transportation woes) and book a flight to San Fran now. Plus: Joshua and I will both be in attendance, so you'll get a chance to meet and/or spit upon the editors of Typographica. That should seal the deal. Posted by Typographica | April 19, 2004 | LINK
