Of Food and Typography

Our good friend Bryan reminds us of an especially interesting event (scroll down) to be held at San Francisco's Ferry Building tomorrow evening.

Patricia Curtan, the illustrator responsible for several of Alice Waters' Chez Panisse cookbooks (and a letterpress aficionado), will be speaking on the illustration and typography of cookbooks, along with Christopher Hirsheimer, the principal photographer from Saveur magazine and several book publishing creative directors. A few tickets may still be available (shame on me for waiting so long to post!) but take a look at wanderingspoon.com (check out the events calendar on the right-hand side).

The panel is sponsored by the Commonwealth Club of California. Registration for non-members is $19, $12 for members.
