TypeCon Type Gallery

The TypeCon TypeGallery is shaping up to be a really nice little show. As an added perk, TDC is sending the Type design portion of the TDC2002 show, so the lucky folks who will be at TypeCon can see the work in person.

The TypeGallery is still accepting submissions (but only for a few more days). There is No Fee and No Jury, just send it in according to the guidelines and your work will be put in front of designers and foundry people desperately seeking new fonts.

FUBU has nothing on us

New from FontShop - For Designers By Designers. f Stop provides royalty free pictures taken by designers. Good or Bad? Only time will tell. I think we should start a poll on how many times photos by David Carson will be used, maybe better, where they will be misused.

I can’t wait for photographers to start selling their own fonts.

Typesetting as Sex Act

Kate McDonnell reminds us of this quite sexy essay by Deb Margolin: Handling the Curves / The Erotics of Type.
