  1. I am a big fan of Mark Simonson. I think he is an amazing designer and with his excellent articles, he is also a great teacher. I get inspired everytime I go to his site, which i have been visiting for quite a while. Please support this creative genius as well as other type designers. Don’t worry Mark, I’m saving my Canadian pennies to buy some of your beautiful fonts.

Well, something like that, but from a Belgian perspective. ;)

Congratulations Mark, I’ll definitely visit often. Let’s hear from the Son of Typecasting! :)

  3. Thanks.

I think this is going to be more manageable than writing articles on my site, which I tend to turn into such big productions that I haven’t done a new one in over two years. It’s ridiculous: I’ve got over two years worth of Typecasting suggestions from readers.

Mark, if you turned “Typecasting” into a thread people could comment to, that would make it self-managing

  5. Nick, that’s a good suggestion and something I have been considering.

I have mixed feelings about inviting comments. I would feel obliged to put myself in a position of being a moderator, which, when I have posted items here, I have found to be distracting and a drain on my time. On the other hand, I do enjoy reading and sometimes posting comments on blogs.

    So… I’m thinking about it.

  6. DAN says:

    Wow! Truly a beautiful mind.
