Beyond Geometry at LACMA
While in Los Angeles last week I visited LACMA’s wonderful Beyond Geometry: Experiments in Form, 1940s–1970s (through October 13). The wealth of typographically inspired installations is really astounding — in fact, there are more type-related pieces in this (quite large) show than I’ve ever seen before in any exhibit of this size. The catalog is beautiful, as well, set throughout in Jon Barnbrook’s extensive Priori family.
One installation, a typographic room that I had to remove my shoes for, is something I think you’d all very much like to experience.
