Copperplate in Washington

Written by Joshua Lurie-Terrell on March 25, 2005

Calligrapher Carolyn Behnke will be teaching a course on copperplate calligraphy at the Smithsonian’s S. Dillon Ripley Center next to the Castle in Washington, DC later this Spring. The 8 2.5 hour classes are open to both beginning calligraphers as well as those more experiences, and should give a reasonably in-depth introduction to the technique. Cost for the full eight classes is $235, with a discount for Smithsonian Resident Association Program members.
