New OT-Featured Scripts From URW

John Butler on August 29, 2005

ColombineURW++ announces new joining versions of Gudrun Zapf von Hesse’s Colombine and Kris Holmes’ Kolibri. [PDF links] Kolibri includes swash caps, and Colombine includes four weights. Both designs can be used with or without the new joining forms which are powered by OpenType contextual alternates.

  1. Its great to see finally old typefaces converted to OpenType. Such fonts that many never really used because of the lack of easy functionnalities as OT can provide.

I dream to see one “Diotima pack” including the Ariadne Initials together with the Smaragd accessibles via features.
