Parkinson at the Fair

Written by Joshua Lurie-Terrell on August 15, 2005

If you happen to be near Sacramento CA next week, please do stop by the California State Fair at Cal Expo Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 20. On that day, the esteemed and always entertaining Jim Parkinson will be schooling Californians as part of the California Arts Council’s Arts Day at the State Fair; his lecture — “Mining the Past: Jim Parkinson’s Typefaces from California” — is part of the Sacramento Art Directors and Artists Club‘s Revelation Art & Design Lectures series. Steve Mehallo, President of ADAC, will also be speaking, as will painters / sculptors / installation artists Patrick Marasso and John Lennertz. Download the flyer.
