Typographica* reader Maggie Wings points us to a project created by Virginia Beach teacher Leslie Law who sent 117 kindergarten kids out with disposable cameras to photograph objects in the shape of letters of the alphabet. The results are often unexpected and mostly great.
The school has printed up some 18-inch by 24-inch posters they are selling to fund future projects for the kids. US residents can send $8.00, plus $3.50 for postage and mailing tube to:

Absolutely beautiful. I especially like the photo where you can see the letter”J” in the shadow. What a remarkable eye these kids have. The teacher should receive and award for this.
By the way, I’m glad I found you guys again. I was sad, when typographica.org was gone.
What a great idea! This should be done nation wide.
This just goes to show how our perspective changes as we grow older. It’s nice to observe everyday things as a child does.
What a great project!
Very refreshing to see the results.
OK, that’s excellent.
